Which are the emails levels of encryption?

They are 3 types of emails - each with its own level of encryption.

All the emails have the same edition options: rich typography, inline images and attachments.

1- Emails encrypted only between KRYPT7 users

  • This is the highest level of encryption.
  • Only the sender and the original recipients can decrypt this type of emails.
  • Those emails are signed.
  • There is no log of those email's sending.

2- Emails encrypted with at least one recipient outside KRYPT7

  • A shared key must be included in this type of emails.
  • Anyone who has access to a message of this type (e.g. by transfer) can decrypt it. KRYPT7 users are warned just before sending that one of their recipients is outside KRYPT7 and therefore, that a shared key must be attached to the email - lowering thereby the security.
  • Those emails are signed.
  • There is no log of those email's sending.

3- Emails in clear, between any type of recipient

  • That's the type of emails received directly from outside of KRYPT7, and those who are sent deliberately in clear mode by KRYPT7 users.
  • Those emails are not encrypted in any way and are not signed. They don't have an authentication code.
  • Those emails are not signed.
  • Those email's sending are logged for 45 days.
